Adoption Information

Thank you for your interest in purchasing a Desert Winds Labradoodles puppy! Please read the following information and instructions on adoption. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

The purchase price of a puppy is $3000.00*

plus $550.00 (USA) shipping

if you are not picking up your puppy in Colorado.

*3.9% Sales Tax must be charged for puppies picked up in Colorado.

To apply for a puppy, please click here Puppy Application, complete and submit and send us a deposit. (Older puppies must be paid for in full with tax or shipping rather then sending a deposit.)

Applications require a $500.00 non-refundable deposit, (plus 3.9% sales tax for puppies picked up in Colorado,) in order to hold a puppy for you. (The deposit is applied to the purchase price of your puppy.) Deposits can be made via mailing a check or money order, bank to bank wire transfer, or via PayPal with an additional service fee (approx. 3%). Mail checks or money orders to:

**If you have a deposit on a puppy, you are welcome to visit the litter the Saturday after they are 6 weeks old by appointment only, once we give them their first Parvo virus vaccination. Parvo is a very deadly virus that can live in the ground for up to 10 years and be transported into our home by visitors. If contracted a litter will succumb to the virus within a few short days, and an entire litter may die. Because of this, our visitation policy is for adopting families only, and only after the puppies have been vaccinated against Parvo.**

Balance (plus tax or shipping fees) are due no later than 7 weeks of age.

We reserve the right to retain puppies from all litters for breeding purposes. Puppies are allocated at 7 weeks of age after temperament testing and examination by a vet. Breeding stock will be chosen on that day and then you will then be contacted with which puppy is yours based on your application and a temperament match.

We expect the owner of a Desert Winds Labradoodles puppy to:

Have the puppy seen by a registered veterinarian within 72 hours of receipt.

Have realistic expectations of owning and caring for a dog.

Accept responsibility for the dog's well-being, including, but not limited to: proper nutrition, adequate exercise, play and stimulation, appropriate obedience training, ongoing veterinary expenses and care, socialization with people, children, and other dogs/pets.

Agree to contact us immediately if for any reason you can no longer care for the puppy so that the puppy may be re-homed.
